What kind of people pay for sex? Predators, Rapes, and Low self-esteem people. These types of people look for missing girls to prey on. Some of these girls are runaways and some have been kidnapped.
Philadelphia is a city of history, culture and diversity. But it is also a city of tragedy, where hundreds of teens going missing this year.
I urge everyone to join me in raising awareness and taking action to prevent and end this heartbreaking reality. Together, we can make a difference in saving lives and restoring hope.
Authorities in Philadelphia are asking for your help locating teenagers that have gone missing. Every month, the city has notices teens of all ages vanishing. If you have seen any of these girls, please text or call. Your child could be next? See something do something anonymously. Listed below are 5 ways, we all can help save a life.
1- Educate ourselves and our children about the dangers and signs of human trafficking.
2- Report any suspicious activity or tip to the authorities or the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888.
3- Support organizations that provide services and advocacy for missing and exploited children, such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
4 -Volunteer for local shelters, outreach programs and counseling centers that assist runaway and homeless youth, such as the Youth Emergency Service.
5- Share information and stories of missing teens on social media or to your local police.
