Lunar Love is a sci-fi romance novel by Lauren Kung Jessen, published in January 2023. It is about two astronauts who fall in love while on a mission to the moon.
The novel features elements of Chinese culture and astrology, as well as adventure and passion.
Luna is a Chinese-American engineer who dreams of exploring space. She is selected for a lunar expedition, along with three other astronauts: Kai, a British pilot; Max, a German scientist; and Remy, a French doctor. Luna is excited to be part of the mission, but she is also nervous about working with Kai, who has a reputation for being a playboy and a troublemaker.
Kai is a rock-star who hides his face behind a mask, both literally and figuratively. He is famous for his music and his stunts, but he also has a secret passion for astronomy. He joins the lunar mission as a way to escape his fame and his past, but he is also intrigued by Luna, who seems to be immune to his charm.
As the four astronauts embark on their journey to the moon, they face various challenges and dangers, both from the harsh environment and from their own personal issues. Luna and Kai discover that they have more in common than they thought, and they develop a mutual attraction that grows into something deeper. But as they get closer, they also have to deal with the consequences of their relationship, such as their families, their colleagues, and their own fears.
Will Luna and Kai be able to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way? Will they find their true match in each other? And will they survive the lunar adventure that will change their lives forever?
