Meat Pie Recipe Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (such as peas, carrots, and corn)
1/2 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste

For the crust:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1/4 cup ice-cold water

Instructions on making the Meat Pie:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
Add the diced onion, minced garlic, frozen vegetables, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme to the pan. Stir well to combine.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
To make the crust, combine the flour and salt in a bowl. Add the cold butter and use a pastry blender or your fingers to work it into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually add the ice cold water, stirring with a fork until the dough comes together in a ball.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.
Spoon the meat filling into a 9 inch pie dish, leaving a 1 inch border around the edges.
Cover the filling with the rolled out dough, trimming the edges to fit. Crimp the edges to seal the pie.
Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.
Brush the top crust with a little bit of milk or beaten egg for a glaze.
Bake the pie for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
