Cake Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3 large eggs, at room temperature
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup whole milk

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease two 9-inch (23cm) round cake pans.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the butter until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Beat just until combined.
