Ingredients :
1 cup (250g) creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
2 cups (200g) powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups (150g) graham cracker crumbs (or digestive biscuits crushed)
1 1/2 cups (270g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, for smoother chocolate topping)
Step-by-Step Instructions :
Step 1: Prepare the Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and creamy peanut butter until smooth and well blended.
Gradually add the powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Stir until the mixture forms a thick, crumbly dough.
Step 2: Press the Base
Line your baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan, creating a firm and even layer.
Step 3: Make the Chocolate Topping
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil (if using).
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt the chocolate in a double boiler on the stove.
Step 4: Assemble and Chill
Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter base and spread it evenly with a spatula.
Refrigerate the pan for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is set and the bars are firm.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Once chilled, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper edges.
Cut into squares or rectangles and serve chilled.
